Code of Conduct

TCA is dedicated to having a friendly, safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all participants at our conferences and events.

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, board members, and volunteers are required to adhere to the following Code of Conduct. Event organizers will enforce this Code throughout the event entirety. If you are being harassed, notice someone else being harassed, or have any other concern, contact TCA onsite staff immediately.

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity,  religion, veteran status, or other protected groups. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language, innuendo, and imagery are not appropriate during any aspect of any TCA sponsored event, including meetings, programs, social events, public chats/forums, social media such as Twitter, or other online media.

Expected behavior:

  • Exercise consideration and respect in your speech and actions.
  • Attempt collaboration before conflict.
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert onsite TCA staff if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.
  • Do not disrupt any meeting (e.g., zoom-bombing) or engage in harm or threats of harm of any kind. Do not create or contribute to a safety threat or unsafe or exclusionary situation.
  • Do not take or distribute pictures, videos, copy, or presentation materials unless explicit permission is granted.
